The Homer Township Public Library is open for Contactless Curbside Pickup service of library materials, photocopies, and printed documents. On Tuesdays and Saturdays free craft kits and book bag giveaways are available inside the library, while supplies last. See below for details. Note: In the event of inclement weather, curbside materials may be located inside the library.

LEARN AT HOMER: FREE WEEKLY UNITS
Free units of printed learning worksheets for students in grades preschool - 3 are available at the library. These educational worksheets are part of the Scholastic Teachables database, which can be accessed from home here. Stop by each week for a new unit! Units are available during curbside pickup hours (see above for days and times).
For grades 4 - 8, we will happily print free units on demand! Chose your units/pages on the Scholastic Teachables database, then fill out this request form. A librarian will email you when your units are ready for pickup at the library.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Log into our online catalog here to place items on hold. To place a hold, you’ll need your library card and PIN (your PIN is the last 4 digits of your library card). OR
Call (708)-301-7908 to have a staff member pull items for you. OR
When your items are ready for pickup, you will receive an email or phone call to confirm a pickup date. The library remains closed at this time and we will confirm your pickup.
Scheduled pickup - items that were confirmed for designated pickup dates will be checked out, bagged and placed on a table at the front of the library. The bag will have your last name on it. Grab your bag and head home to read!
Patrons are limited to 20 items per Curbside Pickup Order.
Only Homer Library cardholders may request a Curbside Pickup Order. If you need a library card, request one here.
Holds may take longer than normal to become available.
Same day pickup is not available at this time.
Staff are unable to come outside to assist you during your pickup.
Wireless printing and requests for printed items are not available through Curbside Pickup at this time.
PHOTOCOPIES & PRINTING
The library now offers curbside pickup of photocopies or printed documents.
Email the document as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org
Put the document in a sealed envelope and place in the library's book drop
Each request should include:
Your name, phone number, and email address
How many copies
If copies/prints should be in color or black/white
You will be contacted when copies are ready for pickup. Please call ahead (708-301-7908) if you require immediate pickup, as hours vary each day. This service is free of charge for up to 20 copies.

HEALTH & SAFETY
All returns are quarantined for a minimum of 7 days (guidelines set by the CDC and IDPH for disinfection).
Staff report to work only if they (and family members) are healthy.
PPE is provided for staff members.
Limited staff teams are allowed in the building at the same time.
Social distancing guidelines are closely followed.
Staff and patrons have no contact during Curbside Pickup.
Workspaces are regularly cleaned with sanitizer.
The library outside book drop is now open. Do not leave returns on pickup table.
The library is fine free, but items will have a due date in bag.
Fees for lost and damaged materials will still be charged to patrons.
Do not stack or leave materials on the ground or by the doors of the library.
Items will be quarantined for a minimum of 7 days before processing, and will remain on patron accounts until they have been checked in.
The library is accepting donations. Please leave boxed/bagged donations under the book drop at the front of the library.
