Program Description

Event Details

Travel along Spain’s sunny Mediterranean coast, a popular winter playground that is also rich in agriculture—especially olive trees. Layers of history have left Andalucía with the best of art and architecture—Neanderthal cave paintings, Roman forums and bridges, ornate Moorish palaces turned cathedrals, flamenco music, and the works of Pablo Picasso.

We’ll see the Alhambra in Granada, Mesquita in Cordoba, and Spain’s oldest bullring in Ronda. We’ll walk the beaches of Nerja and Estepona, explore vibrant Seville with its tasty tapas and maze of narrow, winding streets, and take a peek at the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, home of the famous Barbary apes. Presented by Barbara Sugden & Ron Vargason.
