Teen Volunteers

Are you a teen in grades 6-12 who is looking to volunteer at the library? Teens can earn service hours through in-person monthly events, at-home volunteer projects, or our summer Teen Volunteer Crew (details and applications available each May).

Questions? Email Teen Services at teens@homerlibrary.org.

The library currently only offers volunteer opportunities for teens.

TEEN VOLUNTEER CREW SUMMER 2024: PROGRAM FULL

Shifts for the Teen Volunteer Crew are full, so unfortunately we are no longer accepting applications. 39 teens are volunteering at the library this summer -- we're sorry we don't have space for more, but we appreciate your interest!

KIDS PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

Like hanging out with kids? Volunteer to help at our kids programs this summer by filling out an application form. Volunteers will assist library staff with set up, oversee activities, and clean up. It's a lot of fun!

At-Home Teen Volunteer Projects

We host one in-person teen volunteer event per month at the library throughout the school year, but we also offer at-home volunteer projects! The deadline for these projects is December 31, 2024.

NOTE: Service hours for at-home projects are open to teens living in Homer Glen or Lockport or students attending a school located within Homer Glen or Lockport. Service hours for at-home projects cannot be used for court ordered community service.
