Discover central Australia from the south’s vibrant, cultural Adelaide; Coober Pedy, the underground opal mining town; and remote cattle stations. Ride the elegant Ghan railroad through sweeping desert to the Red Center’s popular Alice Springs. Travel by campervan and on foot to explore Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) and Kings Canyon. Continue on the Ghan north to tropical Darwin on the Top End to uncover aboriginal culture and history in Kakadu National Park and Arnhemland. Presented by Barbara Sugden and Ron Vargason.
