Do you like to create art, build things, work with tools, or wonder how things work? In Design to Discover, you’ll use different tools to make a Scribblebot, sewn, paper and even Squishy circuits! Try out 3D printing, littleBits circuits kits and take a toy apart to see how it’s made. Make, do and learn at the library - electrify your creative powers!

Monday, July 31: Toy Take Apart! Ever wonder what is inside a toy? Make some exciting and surprising discoveries when you dissect an old stuffed animal. Using tools: screwdrivers, seam rippers, and scissors, you’ll expose and explore the mechanisms, circuit boards, computer chips, lights, and wires that make up that special toy.

Registration required. Age 8-13. Limit 12.

Fnding for this grant was awarded by Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS.)
