Family Reading Night is an annual statewide event held the third Thursday in November to encourage families to spend quality time reading together. Celebrate family and reading by enjoying some of these fun activities:

Listen to a book of your choice on Hoopla! Create your own free Hoopla account with your Homer library card and pin # (last four digits of your card).

Gather some of your favorite books and read them as a family. Don’t forget to share your favorite characters from each story. Talk about your favorite activities that you like to do at your library! Complete the evening with the printable hidden treasure hunt!

Grab your jammies and blankies! Cozy up with your favorite bedtime stories! Don’t forget to pop some popcorn or treat yourselves to your favorite family time snack.

Did you say camping? Grab some pillows and blankets. Make your own tent or fort and read some stories with your family. Color some printable bookmarks together. (See the attached BookmarkFamilyReading.pdf). Complete the evening with some easy Indoor S’mores
