Event Details
Liz Connelly, an artist and president of the Lemont Artists Guild, will give an overview of acrylic painting and demonstrate tips and tricks to painting a winter landscape. Liz will give references during her demonstration including the types of brushes and paints she uses. Have fun watching and learning about painting with acrylic paints!
In her personal art, Liz feels that artwork can convey feelings and emotions that words can't always convey. When she is creating, she doesn’t always start with a specific idea, instead, starts the work and looks at it to "hear" what it is saying to her. She likes to create imagery that is symbolic and expressive of life experiences. Besides being president of the Lemont Artists Guild since 2011, she is also the secretary of the Alliance of Fine Art, (www.allianceoffineart.org) and a member of an online group called Art Next Level (www.ArtNxtLevel.com). She studied Illustration and received a Bachelors in Fine Art from Northern Illinois University in 1998 and a Masters in Painting in 2004 from Governors State University. Her website is www.lizartspace.com.
