April is National Poetry Month, celebrating the joy, expressiveness, and pure delight of poetry. Check out the Children's Poet Laureate websites for lots of fun activities, experience some some great read alouds and animated poems for kids. Print the attached activity sheets for more poetry fun. Each day holds new, interesting poetry pleasures.

Acitvity Sheet: Print the attached Poet Tree activity sheet. Cut out the leaf shape, write a poem on it, hang it with other poetry leaves to create a Poet Tree to celebrate National Poetry Month!
