Event Details

Hear from recruiters from Deloitte, Charter, Google and SAP on how to position yourself well with a strong resume and interview. In this workshop, you will learn strategies for how to stand out as a job applicant – whether you’re looking for a new job, transitioning your career, or just starting out. Together, we will navigate through uncertain situations like how to manage career gaps on your resume and get through automated resume screeners. Plus, you’ll get to practice answering some of the most challenging interview questions. Join us for a viewing of this workshop on the library's big screen! #GrowWithGoogle

Note: To get the most of this workshop, we recommend you bring an editable copy of your resume and a job listing for a role you’re interested in. This is completely optional, not mandatory.

To watch this workshop from home, please register separately here.

Registration required. Space is limited to 20 people.  Masks required for all attendees at this indoor event.

This event is being offered as part of a Job Seekers Wanted: Bouncing Back from the Pandemic grant. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
