Ahoy Mateys! Calling all ages! Enter our Shark Bank Contest!

  • Beginning August 1, purchase a 4” ceramic shark bank at the Lending Desk for $2
  • Return it by August 27 for entry into the contest
  • Decorate using any medium following either of 2 themes: CONSTRUCTION or PIRATE
  • Optional: props/backgrounds: absolutely no larger than 6”w x 6”h x 5”d
  • Public judging: September 1-18
  • Entries judged and prizes awarded in five age categories: Up to Kindergarten / Grades 1-3 / Grades 4-6 / Grades 7-12 / Adults
  • An additional winner chosen by library staff
  • Winners will receive shark-themed prize baskets
  • Banks must be picked up by October 9
