Set in the Chicago suburbs, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation follows the Griswold family as they attempt to create the perfect traditional Christmas celebration. However, as is usually the case with this fictional family, chaos ensues.

Volunteers needed! Play board games, card games, and bingo with teens of all abilities, including teens and young people on the autism spectrum or with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities.

Teens and young adults of all abilities -- and their families and friends -- are invited to meet new people and play board games and card games in a relaxed setting. We’ll also play a few rounds of bingo, with prizes awarded!

For decades, Christmas in Chicago meant a trip or two to State Street to see the big department stores. And the stores went all-out for Christmas. This illustrated talk traces the history of Christmas celebrations on State Street.
