Did you know that learning to read begins at birth? Wiggles and Giggles is designed with simple stories, finger-plays, bouncing rhymes, music and movement activities to encourage reading readinness.

Drop in to design using Magnatiles, LEGOs, Tinker Toys, K-NEX, and other cool building materials. Bring your family or friends and spend a fun hour building and creating.

All ages are welcome. Children 3 and under with adult. 

Truly innovative and spell-binding, The Mousetrap Machine shows how cool machines can be! Five simple machines, the lever, the wheel, pulley, inclined plane and the screw are built entirely with balloons by Smarty Pants!

Design a sculpture using a variety of wires, found objects, beads & baubles. Create a unique character of your own. For inspiration, Alexander Calder’s wire circus creations and mobiles will be examined. 

Do you like to create art, build things, work with tools, or wonder how things work? In Design to Discover, you’ll use different tools to make a Scribblebot, sewn, paper and even Squishy circuits!

You are invited to take part  in the design of a special Art Garden @ Homer Library! 

 Covers slides, clipart, themes, and transitions. Registration required.

Calling all Pokemon enthusiasts! Bring your own cards to the library to battle, share ideas and trade.

Registration required. Grades K - 8. Limit 20

The summer brings the garden and local Farmer's Markets are bountiful with great vegetables and fruits waiting to be explored. Chef Susan Maddox will provide some great recipes to share with friends and family.

How obsessed with Hamilton are you? Prove it at our celebration of this much beloved musical! There will be trivia, a lyric challenge, a Hamilton themed craft, & of course, a sing-a-long! For teens in grades 6-12.
