The Lemont Artists Guild is pleased to present Visual Artist Sandie Bacon who will introduce the world of Golden Brand Acrylics.  Sandie will discuss the many aspects of acrylic paint and the mediums that can be used with acrylics. She works for Golden Artist Colors and those who attend will have an opportunity to see the paints and mediums she brings and sign up to receive a free sample of some of these amazing products!

Sandie Bacon is a versatile artist whose paintings convey image through form and narrative imagery based upon observations of nature. She is influenced by cross cultural mythology, literature, popular culture and the natural world. She has a fascination with materials and is proficient in watercolor, acrylics, oils, and drawing media. Her artwork is shown in numerous collections including in museums, galleries, private collections and she paints murals in both public spaces and private residences.

She has won numerous public art commissions including Artprize in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chicago Sculpture International. She teaches workshops and lectures on paints for colleges, artist groups and retails stores. She is also an Educator for Silver Brush brand brushes. She has a BFA in fine arts /literature from Johnston College in Redlands, California and a MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. She lived in NYC for 12 years where she worked as an artist in the schools for Project LEAP and was on the board for CityArts Workshop. She teaches throughout the Midwest and is a Certified Working Artist for Golden Artist Colors.
