Career Central

Looking for a new job? We can help! Career Central is a dedicated section of the library just for job-seekers. You’ll find books on career exploration, resume writing, technology skills, starting a business, and more. There are also books to help you succeed in your current position, including titles on management, remote work, salary negotiation, etc.

But it’s not just books! The Workforce Center of Will County (WCWC) is a trusted local organization for job-seekers. In Career Central, there are informational fliers on upcoming WCWC events and resources, such as their weekly Job Fair in a Bag giveaway.

Need help creating a resume? Adult Services staff can show you how to use a Microsoft Word template to make a resume or cover letter. Just ask!

Career Central was established as part of the Job Seekers Wanted: Bouncing Back from the Pandemic grant. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
