Homer Township Public Library is pleased to have the final expansion construction project featured in the March 2024 issue of the Illinois Library Association Reporter magazine. This publication is provided to Illinois libraries, friends and advocates. “Both expansions were self-funded with no increase in taxpayer cost,” notes Executive Director Sheree Kozel-La Ha. “This planning is the result of conservative budget management and a visionary Board of Library Trustees.” Kozel-La Ha proudly notes that Homer Twp. Library accounts for only 1.8% of a residents’ tax bill.
The bright and inviting new space includes a Family Social and Program area and an entry Sunroom. Both are heavily used and enjoyed by the 300+ daily library visitors.
