This week, which includes Thanksgiving, is a great time to read, think and do things that focus on thankfulness. Being thankful helps one get through life's tough times, because one may easily call to mind all of the good things in life. Being grateful just makes you happy and being happy can help keep your mind and body healthy! Be thankful and share your gratitude this week. Enjoy a daily read aloud story, video, coloring sheet and activity featuring thankfulness.

READ ALOUD: A Little Thankful Spot by Diane Alber. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the library’s website for other books to enjoy.

VIDEO: A Surprise For You | Thank You Song | Kids Song from Super Simple Songs.

ACTIVITY: Craft a journal or buy one to keep a month long record of thankfulness. Write, draw, paint or whatever you like to do to put down your thoughts. Once the month is over you’ll have your own journal full of everything that makes you happy and grateful! .

COLORING SHEET: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!

Visit the library website calendar for more stories and activities each day this week.
