ACTIVITY: Make a mini tide pool.

Get your grownups help with this activity. Use a rectangular pan or other rectangular container to create a tide pool. Gather some small rocks and spread the rocks across the bottom of the pan.  Put more rocks on one side of the pan. Cover the bottom layer of rocks with a small amount of water. Gently tilt the pan back and forth to see how the tide moving in or out covers or uncovers some of the rocks.
