August is here and the weather is hot! Plan your best beach day yet with help from the fun ideas in this week’s beach stories and activities. Try to stay cool!
READ ALOUD: To the Beach by Linda Ashman. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the Library's website for other books to enjoy.
ACTIVITY: Make beach art! Look for shells, rocks and small sticks as you walk with your grownup on the beach. Use the items you collect to create a flower, butterfly, frog or whatever shape you can imagine on the sand!
COLORING SHEET: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
