August is here and the weather is hot! Plan your best beach day yet with help from the fun ideas in this week’s beach stories and activities. Try to stay cool!

READ ALOUD: Pete the Cat at the Beach by James Dean. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the Library's website for other books to enjoy.

ACTIVITY: Build a sandcastle at the beach! Get your entire family to help build a sandcastle using buckets, shovels or molds. You can even use your hands to build a moat around your castle!

COLORING SHEET: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
