Celebrate Earth Day with a story, an activity, a video and a coloring sheet! Check in daily for more fun things to do this week to appreciate and help planet Earth.

Read a book: EARTH DAY EVERY DAY by Lisa Bullard or check out Hoopla, available on the library’s website, to enjoy a selection of great Earth Day books online!

Activity: Build a bug hotel. Every animal on Earth has a special role to play in keeping our environment healthy—even the little critters! A bug hotel attracts beneficial insects that help control pests and gives them a place to nest during colder months, so they’ll stay close to your garden year-round. Make one by filling a small wood box with dried grasses, bark and pinecones.

Coloring sheet: print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
