Kindness improves the quality of life in our homes as well as in the community. It brings people together. Doing good for others feels good. Showing kindness to others is just as rewarding as receiving it from someone else.

READ ALOUD: Bad Apple - A Tale of Friendship by Edward Hemingway. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the library’s website for other books to enjoy.

VIDEO: How to Change the World with Kindness.

ACTIVITY: Involve your family and friends and host a “Acts of Kindness Challenge”.  Challenge your family and/or friends to perform three kind acts this week or notice five kind acts this week. Put a sticker on each day of your kindness calendar that you have seen an act of kindness or you have performed an act of kindness.

COLORING SHEET: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!

Visit the library website calendar for more stories and activities each day this week.
