Event Details

Celebrate Independence Day with patriotic stories, videos, coloring sheets, kids’ games and activities for the whole family! Learn about the meaning and history of 4th of July while having fun on this special holiday!

Read aloud: Fourth of July Mice by Bethany Roberts. Use Hoopla, available on the library’s website, to enjoy a selection of great Independence Day books online!

Activity: American Flag Scavenger Hunt - Hide American flags around your yard for the whole family to find! If you don’t have flags, print out the attached flag sheet and decorate.  Attach the flags to sticks, lay flags on the ground weighted with rocks, or stick them in trees or bushes! 

Coloring sheet: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
