Celebrate Independence Day with patriotic stories, videos, coloring sheets, kids’ games and activities for the whole family! Learn about the meaning and history of 4th of July while having fun on this special holiday!

Read aloud: Red, White and Boom by Lee Wardlaw. Use Hoopla, available on the library’s website, to enjoy a selection of great Independence Day books online!

Video: How do Fireworks Work? Fireworks for Kids 4th of July.

Activity: Decorate your bike, stroller or wagon for a mini-parade. Get your friends and neighbors involved for an even bigger event! Keep safe with social distancing!

 Coloring sheet: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
