Event Details

Look up and discover the wonders of the night sky. From ancient times to the present day, sailors have used the stars and planets to navigate their course. Come on a journey this week that will hopefully develop a curiosity about the great expanse of our universe. 

READ ALOUD: Pete the Cat – Out of this World by James Dean. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the Library’s website for other books to enjoy.

VIDEO: First Moon Landing 1969. Film footage from the Apollo Moon launch, landing and moonwalks featuring astronaut Neil Armstrong.

ACTIVITY: Craft your own rocket ship and take your toys for a ride in space. 

 COLORING PAGE: Print the attachment and decorate with crayons, paint, stickers or whatever inspires you!
