Spring is in full swing. Summer is round the corner! The weather is warmer and warmer. All nature is bursting with greenery and lots of amazing colors. Time to get out in the sun for fresh air and to get dirty in the garden. Tending to your own garden is very rewarding. You can plant flowers and/or vegetables. So come along with us on a gardening journey this week!

Read Aloud: The Surprise Garden by Zoe Hall. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the Library's website for other books to enjoy.

Video: Farmer Plants the Seeds by The Kiboomers. Use your imagination and creativity to act out the words of the song. Sing and move along!

Activity: Create your own memory matching game. Find pictures of various vegetables – the same two of each one or two different parts of the same veggie. Cut them in the shape of a square. Glue them to construction paper or cardstock. Spread the cards on the floor and see how good your memory is and how well you know the names of vegetables.

Coloring page: Print and decorate the Vegetable Garden coloring sheet with crayons, markers, stickers or whatever inspires you! Also look for 10 strange things that shouldn't there...
