Spring is in full swing. Summer is round the corner! The weather is warmer and warmer. All nature is bursting with greenery and lots of amazing colors. Time to get out in the sun for fresh air and to get dirty in the garden. Tending to your own garden is very rewarding. You can plant flowers and/or vegetables. So come along with us on a gardening journey this week!

Read Aloud: Flower Garden by Eve Bunting. Also, check out Hoopla and Tumble Book Library on the Library's website for other books to enjoy.

Video: Sing a Song of Flowers by The Kiboomers.

Activity: If you already have a big outdoor planter filled with flowers, you can offer to help water it regularly so it will blossom throughout summer! If not, see if you can make one similar to the one in a book. Or maybe you could get some annual flowers seeds and spread them around a flower bed in your backyard. Remember to water them and watch them grow.

Coloring page: Print and decorate the Garden in a Box coloring sheet with crayons, markers, stickers or whatever inspires you!
